The Club has a dedicated Health Subcommittee. Some of its members are health-care professionals. Their reports cover a broad range of issues and are updated regularly.
The Club’s objectives are:
To act as a focal point for both knowledge and education. To promote the welfare of the Coton de Tulear and to advise on welfare issues. And to adopt such other means as may be deemed advisable for the encouragement of the breed.
The Coton de Tuléar is a healthy breed with an average life span of 12 to 16 years. Some have celebrated 18 or more years.
